Adirondack Hearing Services offers a complete range of hearing services including diagnostic hearing evaluation and the smallest and most technologically advanced hearing aids.

We also offer custom-made earplugs for musicians and hearing protection for those who work in noise and hearing conservation services to area industries.

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation

Hearing evaluation are done to help determine how much hearing is present, the probable type of hearing loss and whether the hearing loss can't be treated medically, hearing aids can often be of benefit. The nature and degree of hearing loss help the audiologist determine the type of hearing aids that would be most appropriate. Most insurance companies cover diagnostic hearing evaluations by a licensed audiologist. We will be happy to assess your coverage.

Hearing Aid Evaluation & Fitting

After a complete audiological evaluation, the audiologist has a good picture of your hearing and whether hearing aids might help. Your hearing needs, lifestyle and motivation to use hearing aids help the audiologist determine what would be best for you.

Two people with similar hearing loss may be prescribed different types of hearing aids. This is where the expertise of the audiologist is essential in determining what is best for you.

Advanced Hearing Technology

Advances in healthcare are made every day. This is true for medical devices such as hearing aids as well as other areas of healthcare. At Adirondack Hearing Services, we utilize the latest technological innovations and advances to bring you better hearing. Dr. Gancher attends numerous professional seminars so he can stay up-to-date with the latest hearing aid technology. The hearing aids he uses are manufactured by companies that do research in hearing science, in addition to manufacturing the highest quality hearing devices.
